This concert features indie soul musician INIKO, whose songs are viral on social media, Afro-Cuban singer Danay Suárez, AfroHouse artist Fùnké and Jamaican singer Myoka. Connect with artists and their creative stories as you listen to live music representing heritages across the Caribbean and African diaspora.

Groove to African and Caribbean music at Made In Africa (MIA) by Omniilé. Experience why music is a significant part of Caribbean cultures while listening to Afrobeats, Amapiano and Kompa at the Red Rooster Overtown restaurant in Historic Overtown on Saturday, June 3. Dress your best and hit the dance floor as you celebrate the rich musical heritage of the African diaspora. There will be related events Friday, June 2, and Sunday, June 4, for fans who want to extend the experience.
Miami Marlins Bahamian Heritage Celebration

Embrace the community spirit of the Bahamas at the Bahamian Heritage Celebration while watching the Miami Marlins go head-to-head with the Oakland Athletics at loanDepot Park in Little Havana. Ticket holders will receive an exclusive Bahamian Heritage Marlins jersey to wear during the baseball game, which begins at 4:10 p.m. Bring musical instruments and flags to add to the festive atmosphere, then unwind at the after party. A portion of the ticket proceeds will go toward supporting the Bahamian Baseball Association.
Miami/Bahamas Goombay

This is a special year for the Goombay Festival in Coconut Grove, as it’s also the 50th year of independence for the Bahamas. The Miami celebration started in 1977 to honor Bahamians who helped build Coconut Grove and Historic Overtown. This year, expect live music, delicious food, vendors selling local products and a Junkanoo rush (street parade). The event runs Saturday from 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 7 p.m.

Visit Miami Children’s Museum in Downtown Miami to enjoy the Caribbean Heritage Month Celebration Weekend. You and your kids can create beautiful works of art with Bahamian artist Amos Ferguson, listen to steel drum music and try out your traditional Haitian dance moves, create vibrant masks and take part in a Carnival parade.
"The Eternal Night (La Noche Eterna)"

Don’t miss this screening of "The Eternal Night (La Noche Eterna)", a film based on the true story of Cuban writer and former political prisoner Néstor Díaz de Villegas. The movie is inspired by the journey of Díaz de Villegas, who was arrested at 18 years old for writing a poem, then endured six years of imprisonment. The motion picture uses archival footage and interviews to explore how individuals such as Díaz de Villegas challenged the Cuban government in the 1970s. “The Eternal Night” is free, open to the public, and will be presented in Spanish with English subtitles at the Florida International University campus in Westchester at 5 p.m.
Viernes Culturales

Explore the history, classic Latin cuisine and art of Little Havana at Viernes Culturales (Cultural Fridays), followed by a free walking tour led by historian Dr. Paul George. Held every third Friday of the month, Viernes Culturales is Little Havana's Latin art and culture festival where more than 30 artists and artisans display their work. After eating authentic Latin food from one of the many restaurants on Calle Ocho, join Dr. George at the Futurama 1637 Art Building at 7 p.m. to venture through the vibrant neighborhood. The tour is free, but reserve a spot ahead of time.
Social Status One Emancipation
June 17
Celebrate freedom and international heritages at Social Status One Emancipation in honor of Juneteenth, a federal holiday commemorating the end of slavery in the United States. Social Status melds Caribbean and Juneteenth celebrations while highlighting island tunes such as Soca, Afrobeats, Dancehall, Hip Hop and more. Enjoy an evening filled with music and entertainment as the local community waves the Haitian flag. The fun runs from 6 p.m. to midnight at the Yeelen Group building in Little Haiti. Tickets are $10 - $15.
Copa Cabana

Soak in the Haitian music scene at Copa Cabana on the shores of Historic Virginia Key Beach Park from 3 - 11 p.m. Dress for coastal vibes and gather at this historic beach that was once designated as a "Colored Only" beach during segregation. Hosted by FLAV Gabel and Success Jr, Copa Cabana’s music lineup includes Haitian band Kaï, along with performances by Roody Roodboy, Nico from Enposib and DJ Rex. Grab some Caribbean food and enjoy dancing as the day turns to night at the beach bash. There will also be a kickoff party on Friday, June 16.
Soul Vegan Food Festival

Calling all plant-based foodies – you’ll want to come hungry to the Soul Vegan Food Festival, an afternoon full of delicious vegan bites and family-friendly entertainment. Attendees can expect flavorful Caribbean, Afro-Hispanic and Cajun creations from some of the best Black vegan chefs and cooks from all over the country. Alongside tasty treats, guests can enjoy live music by local bands, wellness activities and games for the little ones. The event will be held at Lummus Park in South Beach from 1 - 8:30 p.m. General admission is free; $50 VIP tickets are available for purchase.
Miami Marlins Puerto Rican Heritage Celebration

Experience Borinquen culture in style at the Puerto Rican Heritage Celebration hosted by the Miami Marlins. Root for the home team as they take on the Pittsburgh Pirates and baseball fans unite in honor of Puerto Rican pride. Sport the exclusive Puerto Rican Heritage Marlins jersey during the game, then enjoy live music and post-game entertainment. A portion of the proceeds from each ticket will benefit local Puerto Rican non-profit organizations. Game time is 4:10 p.m.

Put on your dancing shoes and travel back in time to 1950s Cuba during the Cuban Live Show at Havana 1957 - Breakwater. Indulge in classic Cuban food like the Cubano sandwich, ceviche and flan while dining at this South Beach gem. Watch talented performers create an interactive experience filled with Latin tunes where dance, storytelling and music intertwine. Free salsa lessons are offered. The festivities start at 9 p.m.
