TAMPA BAY WAVE

In my previous position as a Community Manager at Tampa Bay Wave, I maintained Wave’s media relations and the distribution of press releases through our press vendor to secure media opportunities for the Wave. Wave acquired over 120 million media impressions during my time working as the Community Manager at the Wave and directly collaborating with our press vendor.

I also manage the email marketing strategy for Wave’s internal community of coworking members, tech entrepreneurs, and sponsors. I create, design, and distribute exclusive email newsletters to Wave’s over 100 current and prospective sponsors. I also manage Wave’s general email distribution list of over 6,200 contacts by distributing engaging, innovative community newsletters on a monthly basis.
 

I also collaboratively plan, organize, and manage overall event logistics by project managing internal and external community events, including Investor Demo Day, monthly Pitch Nights, and monthly community events for coworking members. I also collaborate with the Director of Development to plan, coordinate, and host our quarterly Friends of Wave socials, which is an exclusive event for Wave's sponsors, partners, and prospective supporters.

 

I successfully planned, managed, and hosted Tampa Bay Wave's 2017 Annual Holiday Party, which had over 550 RSVPs. By creating a strong social media and email marketing strategy, I was able to successfully host nearly 200 holiday party attendees, which exceeded the previous year's event attendance by over 30%.
